Wild garlic in Ohio. My home state is filled with natural seasonings like garlic. When you walk along trails or fields in your neighborhood, you can see the garlic scrapes with their round bulbs bursting with seeds. Three years ago my sister shared some wild garlic from her yard. I planted it and harvested the garlic scrapes when the clove seeds matured. I planted three rows and kept them in the ground for two years. The second year I cut the scrapes off to let the herb focus on the bulbs. In mid-July I harvested the garlic and WOW did I get some garlic. It was much more then expected and the cloves are a soft white color and smell like wonderful. The crop size has let me share with my friends and neighbors.
